Organize feedback and link it to your roadmap

Open a feedback board from the admin sidebar. The table shows the feedback on that board. All Posts still shows posts from every board.

Organize feedback in folders

Use the + beside Folders to create a folder. Use a folder's menu to add a subfolder or rename it.

Drag a feedback row into a folder. To move several items together, select their checkboxes first. All feedback shows every item on the board. Without folder shows items you have not filed yet. A parent folder also shows items in its subfolders.

The Folders control hides or shows the folder list. This choice is saved for the board and in your saved views. Deleting a folder keeps the feedback, but removes it from that folder and its subfolders.

Edit feedback in the table

Click an editable cell to change it. Press Enter or click the check icon to save. Press Escape or click the close icon to cancel.

The pencil icon opens the full editing sidebar. The arrow icon opens the post page. Counts and the original creation date are read-only.

To add feedback quickly, enter a title in the last row and press Enter. The new item appears at the bottom, on the current board and in the selected folder. You can add more detail later.

Plan work from feedback

Select feedback items and choose the roadmap action. Create one roadmap item or link them to an existing one. The feedback stays on its original board, with its votes, comments and followers.

In Linked Posts, feedback is Part of a roadmap item. The roadmap item Contains the feedback. You can also add these links by hand. Other link types do not trigger feedback completion.

Creating a roadmap item as an admin does not add a vote from you.

Complete the linked feedback

In status settings, mark the finished statuses on your feedback and roadmap boards as Completed. The status name can still be anything you like.

When a roadmap item enters a completed status, ProductLift offers to update its linked feedback too. Select the items and choose a completed status on each feedback board. You can leave some or all feedback open. Already completed items are skipped.

You can send an email to the affected followers. Each person gets one email listing the updated items they follow.

Move a post or change its status

Choose a Board and Status in the update window. The button says Move to [board] when you choose another board, or Update status when the board stays the same.

Email [number] followers lets you send an update. The message is optional. You can choose a saved message and preview the email before saving. If there are no recipients, the window says No followers to email yet.
