How to get there: Go to Settings in the sidebar → Statuses → click Edit on any status → check Unlisted.
Use unlisted statuses to close the loop on feedback without cluttering your public boards. Posts in an unlisted status are fully hidden from end users: they are removed from browse views, excluded from search results, and a direct link to the post returns a 404.
What does "Unlisted" mean?
When a status is marked as unlisted:
- Not shown in boards, The status column won't appear on kanban or list views for users. Admins still see it.
- Posts are excluded from browse, Posts with an unlisted status don't appear when users browse a board.
- Not searchable, End users won't find these posts through the search bar.
- Direct links return 404, Anyone without admin access who opens a direct post link gets a not-found page.
- Admins keep full access, Admins still see the column, the posts, and can share the link with other admins.
This is different from hiding a board (admin-only visibility) or unpublishing a post. Unlisted statuses let you quietly resolve or park feedback without deleting it, while keeping it fully invisible to end users.
Common use cases
- "Won't Do" / "Won't Fix", Decline feedback without broadcasting it on your board. End users won't see the post anywhere anymore. The original submitter loses direct access too, so consider commenting or emailing them first if you want to close the loop personally.
- "Duplicate", Mark posts as duplicates and move them to an unlisted status so they stop appearing anywhere for end users.
- "Archived", Move old or completed items out of the active board view; still available to admins as an internal workflow column.
How to set up an unlisted status
- Go to Settings → Statuses
- Click the Edit button (pencil icon) on the status you want to make unlisted, or create a new status with Add new status
- Check the Unlisted checkbox
- Save
The status will show an Unlisted badge with an eye-slash icon in the status list and on kanban column headers (visible to admins only).
Board templates with unlisted statuses
When creating new boards from templates, some templates include unlisted statuses by default:
- Feedback board, Includes a "Won't Do" status (unlisted)
- Feature Requests, Includes a "Won't Do" status (unlisted)
- Bug Tracker, Includes a "Won't Fix" status (unlisted)
These give you a ready-made workflow for declining feedback without needing to configure anything.
