User profiles are disabled", though.
When disabled, the profile pictures of users who have voted also shouldn't link to the profile anymore.
It is now possible to disable the public view of user profiles.
You can find the setting: Customize - Viewing - Allow visitors and users to view user profiles

Hi Ben, the 404 is not possible unfortunately. Removing the link makes sense, this one has been added here: https://feedback.productlift.dev/p/remove-links-to-profiles-when-disabled-wSCIPH
