Data location

ProductLift data is stored on EU-based infrastructure.

Where exactly?

  • Database (posts, votes, comments, users, settings): EU.
  • File storage (attachments, post images): AWS S3, EU region.
  • CDN edge (cached public images and CSS): global edge nodes for speed. Source of truth remains in the EU.
  • Backups: EU.

Stripe (billing)

Stripe is a US-headquartered processor with EU operations. Standard Stripe data flows apply, see Stripe's privacy documentation. We only pass to Stripe what's needed for billing: company name, email, billing address, payment method.

AI providers

If you enable AI features, prompts and responses transit to the AI provider (OpenAI / Anthropic depending on the feature). See Turning off AI to disable.

Data residency requests

If you have a strict requirement (e.g. "all data must stay in Germany"), email support@productlift.dev with the specifics. We'll tell you honestly whether we can meet it.
