How to get there: Open any post → side panel → Prioritization section → Severity row. Or use the Severity filter in Manage Posts (left sidebar).
Severity is an admin-only label for how bad a bug is, separate from how important it is to fix. Customers never see it. Use it to triage bug reports and surface the ones that actually break things.
Use severity on bug reports. Use priority on everything else (or on bugs too, when impact and urgency aren't the same).
A blocker bug that only affects one customer might be Blocker severity but Low priority. A small papercut that hits every user might be Minor severity but High priority. The two fields let you record both axes independently.
The change saves immediately.
In Manage Posts, the left sidebar has a Severity dropdown. You can also enable the Severity column from the column picker and sort by it (Blocker first).
Only admins (and API portal tokens). Members and end users never see the field or the badge.
