How to get there: Click Settings in the sidebar → Emails tab (under Distribution).
Configure how ProductLift sends emails on behalf of your portal.
Email Sender
Control the "from" details on every email your portal sends:
- From address -- the email address that appears as the sender (e.g., feedback@yourcompany.com).
- From name -- the display name next to the email address (e.g., "Acme Feedback").
- Email footer -- custom text that appears at the bottom of every outgoing email.
Delivery Methods
Choose how emails are physically delivered. ProductLift supports several providers:
- Default -- uses ProductLift's built-in email delivery. No configuration needed.
- Mailgun -- enter your Mailgun domain, API key, and region.
- Amazon SES -- enter your SES access key, secret, and region.
- SMTP -- enter a custom SMTP host, port, username, and password for any SMTP server.
- Postmark -- enter your Postmark server token.
After configuring a delivery method, you must send a test email to verify it works before ProductLift will activate it. Click the Send Test Email button and confirm you receive it.
Email Templates
Customize the content of system emails:
- Welcome email -- the email new users receive when they sign up for your portal. Edit the subject line and body text to match your brand voice.
Email History
View a log of recently sent emails from your portal. The history shows the recipient, email type, timestamp, and delivery status. Use this to troubleshoot delivery issues or verify that notifications are being sent correctly.
User Notification Preferences
Each user can control how often they receive email notifications from their profile:
- Daily -- a summary of all activity every day
- Weekly -- a weekly digest (default for new users)
- Biweekly -- every two weeks
- Monthly -- once a month
- Off -- no digest emails
Users can change this in their profile settings. As an admin, you cannot change this for individual users -- it's a personal preference.
