Portal General Settings

How to get there: Click Settings in the sidebar → Portal tab (under Organization).

The Portal tab contains your portal's core settings, from basic information to SEO, notifications, and navigation links.

Portal Name and Language

  • Portal name -- the name displayed in the header and browser tab.
  • Language -- set the default language for your portal. All user-facing text (buttons, labels, emails) will use this language.
  • Currency -- choose the currency symbol shown when using revenue-based prioritization or Stripe data.

Like Icon

Choose the icon users click to vote on posts. Options include thumbs up, heart, arrow, star, and more. Pick whichever fits your community best.

Boards Header Style

Control how the boards navigation bar looks at the top of your portal. Choose between different display styles to match your design preferences.

SEO and Tracking

Settings that control how search engines and analytics tools interact with your portal:

  • Search engine indexing -- enable or disable search engine indexing. When disabled, a noindex meta tag tells Google and other crawlers not to list your portal.
  • Google Search Console -- paste your Search Console verification code to verify ownership of your portal domain.
  • Google Tag Manager (GTM) -- enter your GTM container ID to load your Tag Manager scripts on every page.
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) -- enter your GA4 measurement ID to track portal analytics directly.

Notifications

  • Drag-and-drop notifications -- when you move a post between statuses in the Kanban or board view, ProductLift can automatically prompt you to send a status-change email to voters and followers.
  • Status email default -- choose whether the "send email" checkbox is checked or unchecked by default when changing a post's status.

Add a custom button to the top navigation bar. Set the button label and URL to link users to your main website, documentation, or any other page.

Add links that appear in the footer of your portal. Useful for linking to your terms of service, privacy policy, or company website.

Configure additional navigation links that appear in the portal sidebar or header area. Use these to connect users to related resources.
