Now, there are three options.

Option 1. Invite by ProductLift

You can easily invite one or more customers at the same time, by letting ProductLift send an email. Just fill in the email address and the name of your customer and ProductLift will send the email. You can also upload a file with all users.

  • By choosing the option "Personalize invitation" the invitation can be customized to make it more personal for your customer.

  • In case you use "Invite without sending an email" no invitation email is sent. The user is still created and can later be voted on behalf of, log in via SSO, or click any future post update email they receive. This is the default for voting on behalf.

Customize the invite email

The invite email is different from the welcome email. The invite email is what someone receives when you invite them to your portal. The welcome email is what a user receives automatically after they create their own account (customized under Settings → Emails).

To change the default text used in every invite email:

  1. Go to Settings → Users.
  2. Edit the Default Invitation Message field.
  3. Save.

That message becomes the body of every invite email you send out. The standard greeting and the accept-invitation button are added around it automatically, so you only need to write the middle part.

If you want to override the default just for a single batch of invites, tick Personalize invitation on the invite screen and edit the message there. This does not change the default.

Share the link to your portal with your customers. This can for example be useful on social media or directly inside your app.

Option 3. Invite by email

In this option, you can invite your customers by sending them an email yourself. You can use the email example shared by ProductLift.
