How to get there: Go to Settings → Moderation → AI Auto-Moderation section.
AI auto-moderation reviews new posts (and optionally comments) automatically and holds anything questionable for human approval. It's the fastest way to keep spam, abuse, and off-topic content off a public portal without a person watching the queue full-time.
How to enable it
- Go to Settings in the sidebar.
- Open Moderation.
- Toggle AI Moderation for Posts on.
- (Optional) Click Customize AI Moderation Instructions for Posts to add portal-specific rules (e.g. "decline anything mentioning competitor X", "decline posts in languages other than English").
- Save.
What happens when a post comes in
- A customer submits a new post.
- The AI runs in the background (a few seconds).
- If the post passes, it goes live normally.
- If it fails, the post is held in moderation and the submitter gets a notification explaining why it was declined so they can edit and resubmit.
Admins can override AI decisions at any time from the moderation queue.
AI credits
Each AI moderation check costs one AI credit. If you run out of credits, moderation falls back to manual until credits reset on your billing date or you buy more. See AI credits.
When to use it
- Public portals open to the internet. Best line of defense against spam and abuse.
- High-volume portals where manual triage doesn't scale.
- Regulated or sensitive contexts where off-topic or non-compliant posts shouldn't appear publicly even briefly.
When not to use it
- Internal-only portals where everyone submitting is a trusted employee.
- Tiny portals where you read every post anyway.
