Configure AI

How to get there: Settings → AI & automation, under Content & workflow.

AI writing preferences

Use the single AI writing preferences field for tone, terminology, length, and formatting instructions. It guides AI writing for individual posts and when turning source text into one or more posts.

You can keep different rules in the same field: “For help articles, explain each step. For changelog entries, lead with the customer benefit.” These rules describe the output you want; they do not change the form fields or post types.

Existing general, bulk, and content-specific instructions are combined here when your portal is upgraded. Review the headings and remove any conflicting instructions. Your previous text is preserved.

Example: “Use clear, friendly English. Keep announcements under 200 words. For bug reports, include steps to reproduce, expected behavior, and actual behavior.”

Turn text into posts

Open the New post dropdown and choose Turn text into posts to turn pasted feedback, notes, or other source text into proposed posts. Review the generated drafts before creating posts. For a customer conversation that you want to keep and review alongside its requests, use Inbox → Conversations instead.

Automatic replies and tags

Auto-reply to new posts and Auto-tag new posts have their own switches and optional prompts on this page. Writing preferences do not enable these automations. See Auto-reply and Auto-tag.

Set your product context in Settings → Product Vision. Configure AI moderation in Settings → Moderation rules.
