Switch between portals

How to get there: Click the portal switcher at the top of the sidebar (shows your current portal's name and favicon).

If you're an admin on more than one ProductLift portal, the sidebar has a switcher that lets you jump between them in one click, without logging out. Portals you've linked are remembered per browser so switching stays one click on every subsequent visit.

  1. Click the portal switcher at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Click Link another portal.
  3. Pick a suggested portal (if you're admin on one that shares your email) or enter the portal's URL.
  4. Enter your admin password for the other portal to confirm.

Once linked, the portal appears in your switcher list. Linking is one-time per portal per browser.

Switch to a linked portal

Click the portal switcher and click any linked portal in the list. You land in that portal's admin, signed in as your admin user there.

If you're in the middle of something (editing a post, viewing a specific board), the switcher preserves the intent path where possible.

Manage your linked portals

From the switcher popover, click Manage linked portals. This takes you to your profile edit page, where you can see:

  • Every portal you have a linked-admin trust with
  • When you last used each link
  • A Revoke button for each portal

Revoking a link removes the trust for this browser. To use the portal again, you'll need to re-enter the admin password.

Security

  • Links live on the browser you created them from. Signing out of that browser doesn't revoke the trust, but revoking it on the profile page does.
  • If you change your admin password on a linked portal, ProductLift asks you to re-verify with the new password before the switch will go through.
  • Repeated wrong-password attempts are rate-limited to block brute-forcing.
